Today the house was too cold for painting. So I looked to do a more or less mindless hobby job that I could do with cold hands to keep up the streak. Thus it was that I broke into two boxes of oldhammer Crisis Suits that I bagged cheap from Ebay to prep for assembly. This old kit has fewer options than the newer one but it is also probably a bit less fiddly in assembly. Compare the sprues here. One can hardly have an Farsight Enclave army without Crisis Suits!
All together the two boxes have enough bits for 6 suits and 12 gun drones. Snipping all the bits took about half an hour and diligently skimming off all the mold lines, nubs and flash took another hour and a half at least. It is surprising how long these jobs take when one bothers time them!
Perhaps tomorrow I will start assembling them, but then again I may agonise for some time over whether or not to magnetise them, or what options to build them with assuming I don’t magnetise. I want to get back to the Tau Devilfish too, that is so nearly complete.
