Hobby Streak Day 21 – Commander Torchstar Assembled
Today I got into my Crisis Suit bits and made Commander Torchstar of the “The Eight” fame. Well I am making a Farsight Enclave Army, so why not base my commanders on the ones of the The Eight? According to the Mont’ka book for 7th edition Warhammer 40k Commander Torchstar is kitted out with two flamers, a drone controller, a full spectrum sensor suite and a neuroweb jammer. He is also accompanied by two marker drones. The old Crisis Suit kits that I snipped out earlier in my hobby streak did not have any marker drone parts but luckily had a few in my bits box. With this specific load-out there were no worries about being tempted to fiddle with magnets, so that is nice.
So far the Farsight Enclave models that I have painted is enough to make a fairly minimal 7th edition Hunter Cadre but for not having a commander. Today I am one step closer to filling that hole.
Having finished the Eldar Warlock yesterday I probably should have cracked on with finishing off the Blood Axe Shoota Boyz today. They were next in the queue. I was feeling lazy though and just so wanted to have a quick job to do get my minimum half hour.
