Today I determined to move on some Eldar Dire Avengers that have sat in a half-painted state for probably years now. They are probably the first Eldar models I have started painting since returning to the hobby after a couple of decades away. I would hate for them to also be the last to be finished but for some reason I am just not liking painting these lads. They have quite a lot of fiddly details, which do not help.
As I find them today they have a base coat over almost all over them and a layer of dust. I dusted them off with a soft brush and tried to get some light contrast on the blue by highlighting with Crystal Blue and then shading in with a dark blue the shadowed bits. It does not show too much.
