Hobby Streak Day 7 – Free Hand Tau Devilfish Details
The Tau Devilfish is basically done now. I did a little more blending on the engine intakes and finished off painting the Farsight Enclaves heraldry on the doors and hatches.
Some might say I should just as well have used decals but I rather enjoyed trying to freehand paint them. And do think they turned out fairly well.
I suppose I might do a bit more to touch up the model in a few places where there were little mistakes. Then again I am may just go ahead and varnish it for the final step and call it done.
The Tau letters and numbers I painted on to the nose translate as B – 2. It will be a unit designation I guess.
This model is really good looking quite aside from my attempt at a nice paintjob. I will be happy to paint another. Hmmm… I wonder what discount Element Games is running on them now…?
