Today I put some green skin on my Ork Nobz. These ladz will eventually end up in Projekt Mork. The models are from an old boxset “Battle for” something, I can’t remember. I wanted them to be Goffs and look it, so I did a little conversion with the heads to max out the horns on their helmets. I also gave one a boss pole. Likely they will be the meatshields for the warboss I painted here:
I also did some more work on the Eldar Scorpions seen yesterday. I painted a layer of light grey over all the straps and holsters. This is mute down green hue from airbrushing the base colour for the armour, ready for adding another layer of something. I used some of the grey to touch up their yellow helmets where the some green overspray had happened. Then gave the helmets another coat of yellow but with a touch of orange added just to warm the hue a bit.
Both the Eldar Scorpions and Ork Nobz got a their bases painted a dark warm brown. I don’t usually do much more for bases destined for the tabletop. This colour fits in well on any battlefield and does not draw attention away from the model. Keep it simple and you keep it quick.
Finally I also gave the Devilfish a final layer of Dragon Red for the base coat.
